osamu tezuka x yoskay yamamoto...?

i'm very excited to be able to share this project with everyone.

i have been working on series customizing vinyl toy of popular iconic characters.

and one of the project was astro boy, the one of the very first japanese animation created by the godfather of manga, tezuka osamu.

here is a process shots of this long journey:

i sculpted and yoskafied the astroboy vinyl that i found on ebay.

the i had them casted into resin by people at pretty in plastic.

they also hlped me make these metal version.

and the final piece, 'do you remember me?' gloss black, edition of 100

"intimate strangers" by mr lynch:)

thanks to my friend jeremy for putting this film "intimate strangers" together.
he has been capturing many other artists with his camera and making them into these very stylized short films. here is a link to his other documentaries and short films.
i really enjoyhow he edit his film and how the lighting and colors are set in his work.

also thanks to darin from kane&unke for coordinating me with their awesome apparel.

sorry for the lack of update.
i have been busy trying to catch up and finishing up all the works for my solo show.
plus i'm working on the 2nd figure with munky king and couple other exciting projects.

anyway, here are couple more sneak peak of what's come for my 3rd solo exhibition, 'familiar strangers'

i'm introducing a series of hand carved wooden sculpture for the show.
